SmartSteer available for new Audi models

In close cooperation with Audi in Ingolstadt, Bever Car Products is the first to offer a solution for the newer Audi models. The complexity of the networks in these newer Audi's makes it impossible for SmartControl to communicate directly with the vehicle. As a result, products such as SmartSteer were not available for these cars until recently. Fortunately, Audi has recognized that their vehicles must also be usable for people with physical disabilities. They have therefore developed a gateway that facilitates access for this type of product.

Bever Car Products is proud to have been closely involved in this development. This now enables us to be the first to supply a steering knob with secondary functions for these vehicles. The solution does not only include a SmartSteer and SmartControl but also the Audi gateway and special wiring. Before the system becomes fully operational, the customer must visit the dealer so that the additional Audi module can be added to the vehicle’s configuration.

The solution is now available for:

• Audi A5 (B10) from 2024

• Audi A6 (C9) from 2025

• Audi Q5 (GU) from 2024

• Audi Q6 from 2024
